I must write this very carefully in order not to prejudice any of the individuals involved – and clearly there is a great deal of speculation and rumour.

My understanding is that; for whatever reason the villages only ‘supermarket building’ is no longer fulfilling its primary purpose of selling those essentials of life, bread, milk, etc. I understand that it is likely that the property may become available for a further owner/proprietor/franchisee to commence trading under a new or renewed title. I have my own view as to whom I would wish to hold and trade from this property but would wish to keep my council pending the views of those who may wish to make comment and/or suggestions as to their choice of supermarket.
