Q. Are you a commercial organisation creating a website like this?
A. No, it is just a hobby, someone asked me to do this a few years ago, but this sort of software was not readily available at the time!

Q. Why do I need to register on this website, I can read all the posts anyway?
A. If you register you will have access to other boards and topics which have been started under the members only board, you will also receive the newsletter ( when I get around to doing one of those). Being a member also will entitle you to local discounts as and when available ( I did see one, 10% off Garden Furniture at the www.thegardencentre.co.uk if you are a member)

Q. How secure is this website
A. 99.9% secure, you never know, there may be anti terrorist goverment oficial checking on your details, they still would have a hell of a job finding your details. All activity on this site is logged permanently, And anyone trying to post their "Mother in Law" will be caught.

Q. I tried to register, but I did not receive my activation Email?
A. Check your spam/junk mail box sometimes they drop in there, or try registering with a valid Email adress, if you do not supply a valid email adress you will not receive your activation information!

Q. Can anybody see my email address?
A. Only you can see your email adress on your profile page no one else is able to see your email, your email adress is hidden by default upon registration.

Q. I am a bright 13 yr old and I registerd on your website and then got an Email saying I was not accepted?
A. Sorry you are just not old enough at present for this website, you will have to stick with the ultimate technology like MSN and BEBO, we on highlane.org do not understand your lingo ok M8!

Q. Does this page or any other pages show up when you Google them?
A. Yes , now all topics will show up under google, the bots and spiders are out there to get your views ( try google "hartley woods high lane")

Q. Why do I have to wait after I registerd for the forum?
A. I will activate your account personally, I do not want anybody in the whole world to register and just post anything whilst I was on holiday (you can imagine).

Q. My post has dissappeard, why?
A. You posted something that was not appropriate and has been brought to my attention. I take this very seriously and will hide these posts immediatly pending investigation.

Q. Sometimes when I acces the website there is a message "unable to connect to database"
A. This does happen if the database gets temporarily overloaded, just check back later.

Q. Are you charging for any thing you put on here.
A. No however if there is a commercial gain to be made out of it for some one /or company then a will have to charge a small fee accordingly.

Q. Is there anything else I can do as a Member. or Guest
A. please comment on this website if you want anything adding or have anything to add yourself concact me on admin@highlane.org

Q. I want to be able to post, but I am scared of becoming a member and I am using a computer in the library?
A. You can send your post via email (see previous line) and if approved I will post it for you.

Q. I have some issues that I want to bring forward but I do not have a computer?
A. Good point, we will organise a postbox somewhere for you to post your post, check back here when I have found a suitable location.
